It’s not actually just cash back! This card is advertised as a cash back card meaning the rewards and welcome bonus appear to be delivered as cash back. The bonus and rewards actually will come to you as points which can then be applied as a statement credit for the cash value of one cent per point or can become transferable points, if you have a card from Chase that allows you to transfer your points out to airlines and hotels.

If you have one of the cards that unlocks the ability to transfer points out to partners such as The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or The Chase Sapphire Reserve®, the points earned from this card can be combined with your Chase Ultimate Rewards points and transferred out to book hotels and flights directly.

So, while this is in and of itself a “cash back” card, when combined with the #1 card for travel, The Sapphire, the 75,000 points can be worth significantly more than $750,
